Hershey Park – Two Parks In One

What do you do when you don’t have enough room for a water park? Build it inside your theme park!

That’s exactly what Hershey Park did when it wanted to compete with all of the water parks. Most of the land around or near Hershey Park is farmland and I doubt that they would convert that into a park. So, Hershey added a smaller version of a water park right inside the existing park.

I’ve visited many parks that have two separate parks and found some pros and cons.

Pros to 2 in 1 park:

1.) You can switch easily without packing everything up and moving.

2.) If part of your family wants rides and the other water – no problem!

3.) You can manage the weather! If it’s sunny – swim. Not so sunny – ride

4.) Only one parking fee

5.) Costs a bit less for season passes – on average $25-$35

Cons to the 2 in 1 park:

1.) Smaller area

2.) Longer wait in lines

3.) Less variety

Overall, I would take Hershey Park’s 2 in 1 if I have the whole family and the other ones if traveling with just my wife and I. (or by myself!!)

Enjoy!

Cheers
